The Knitwear Edit

The cooler temperatures are finally starting to show....albeit slowly!  So let's look at what's trending in knitwear for Autumn/Winter 14.

The Sporty Jumper:

It's time to put aside your crew necks and indulge in sports jumpers.  If you don't like a low v-neck then add a shirt or simple t-shirt underneath to layer.  Super cute with both boy friend jeans and skirts this trendy jumper of the moment is actually a real classic so invest in a good one and enjoy it for years to come.

The Fluffy Knit:

These are everywhere but they are so yummy to wear making them hard to resist ( I already have about 5)!  Most are not actually that warm (made up of acrylic and nylon) but that makes them great for Autumn and then simply pop a warmer layer underneath once it gets cold.  There are also heaps of colours around so have fun with brights and pastels.

The Over-sized Jumper:

Over-sized and boxy knits are also popular whether cropped or long.  The longer styles are great on cold days when you just want to snuggle up.

The Chunky Cardigan and The Cape:

Chunky cardigans are everywhere and there are many cross-breeds such as coat-cardigans (coatigans) and knit cropped jackets.  Capes are also around with many of the new styles designed to be comfy and casual.
Wear a chunky cardigan over a fitted dress, with a t-shirt and skinny jeans (with over the knee or knee boots) or belted to create a more dressy look.
